Are you tired of writing novels via email to explain a small change you’d like to make on your website? Those days are over.

BugHerd is an online tool that lets you click on any part of your live website to leave a comment, almost like a sticky note. Your comment is sent directly to our Project Managers, who then know exactly what you need and can activate the right members of our team to get the job done!

Step 1

Install Browser Extension

Follow these few, easy steps to install the BugHerd extension on your browser of choice. You will only need to do this once!

2. Click to select your browser.

3. You will be taken to your browser’s extension marketplace, where you will be able to add the extension to your browser.

4. Click “Add Extension” on the popup window that appears.

That’s it! You should now see a BugHerd icon appear in one the corners of your browser.

You do not need to create a BugHerd account. Simply let us know when you have installed the extension, and we will send you an invitation to start reviewing your website.

When you receive your invitation, return to this page to see how to test that everything is working properly in Step 2.

Step 2

Connect & Confirm

Click on the link in the Invitation email we sent you and you’ll be taken to your website.
Tip: Make sure you’re using the same computer and browser you used to install BugHerd!

When viewing any page on your website, a gray square with an arrow should now be visible (only to you) in the bottom-right corner of your browser window. Tip: Sometimes it helps to reload the page a few times if you don’t see it right away.

Let’s make sure your Connection with BugHerd works and we’re receiving your comments:

1. Click on the arrow in the bottom right corner of your browser. The BugHerd sidebar will slide in from the right.

2. Click on the green square with a “+” symbol in it. This is how you begin adding a new comment.

3. Click on your logo in the header of your website. A BugHerd popup window will appear.

4. Type in “Testing” into the main Comment box, then click on “Create Task”.

Reach out to us via email to let us know you have submitted the test comment. We will confirm that we have received it, and you can proceed with reviewing your website!

Now that you’re set up, you’ll find that making edit and feature requests to your design and development team will be simple, fun, efficient, and accurate.

We have other tricks up our sleeve.
